Where cooling energy is wasted

Many air-conditioning and refrigeration units rely on a single temperature sensor that switches the compressor on when the space is warm and off when it reaches the set point. Compressors keep running after the cooling coil has done most of its work, and units cycle more than they need to.

How optimisation works

Smart controllers, such as those from our partner Coolnomix, watch the unit's operating conditions with additional sensors and stop the compressor when further running would add little cooling, while keeping room or product temperatures within the set band. They fit to existing units, so there is no need to replace equipment that still works.

Our EnMIS platform logs when each unit runs, alongside temperature and humidity, so you can see exactly where cooling energy goes and how much the controls save.

Before we recommend anything, a feasibility study measures your site and estimates the saving. After installation, savings are measured and verified to IPMVP and reported monthly.

Will rooms or cold stores get warmer?

No. The controls keep temperatures within the set band; they cut the compressor running time that adds little extra cooling.

Do we need to replace our air-conditioning units?

No. The controllers fit to existing units. Replacement only makes sense for units that are at the end of their life.
